New year card to celebrate the year of the horse in 2026.
The original origami design was made by my wife, Naoko, then I turned it into a Mokuhanga print.
This years design is very different from previous years - the shapes of the folds from the origami have been abstracted and are quite geometric; and printed using only two blocks, blue and red, with the overlapping areas becoming purple.
Printed in the traditional Japanese mokuhanga method, using a brush to apply water based inks and pressed by hand using a baren. This is an original handmade print and not a reproduction.
Limited number of prints available, printed on handmade Japanese washi paper.
